Types of touch screens

                     Mainly there are two types of touchscreens in mobiles viz resistive and capacitive.There are some extra advanced types like amoled , gorilla etc.

Resistive

A resistive touchscreen panel is composed of several layers, the most important of which are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When an object, such as a finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers become connected at that point: the panel then behaves as a pair of voltage dividers with connected outputs. This causes a change in the electrical current, which is registered as a touch event and sent to the controller for processing.

Surface acoustic wave

Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology uses ultrasonic waves that pass over the touchscreen panel. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed. This change in the ultrasonic waves registers the position of the touch event and sends this information to the controller for processing. Surface wave touchscreen panels can be damaged by outside elements. Contaminants on the surface can also interfere with the functionality of the touchscreen.

Capacitive

Today, most smartphones have a high-resolution capacitive touchscreen

A capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO). As the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the controller for processing. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, one cannot use a capacitive touchscreen through most types of electrically insulating material, such as gloves; one requires a special capacitive stylus, or a special-application glove with finger tips that generate static electricity. This disadvantage especially affects usability in consumer electronics, such as touch tablet PCs and capacitive smartphones in cold weather.

hello all...here I would like make a slight explanation that any common student at least good at multiplication and division may digest.First of all if u divide 6 by 2 the result is 3 , how?
Actually its not division working there,but addition...mmmm...right?
come on...when u divide 6 by 3 , u r counting number of 3's to be added to get 2,right?
and its the result u got,that is 2.Therefor to get the resultant of any division just count the number of times u have to add the denominator,ready?
Now let us think about 1/0.If (1/0) = p , then u have to add "0" 'p' times to get 1,right? Now think, how many times u have to add 0 to get 1 ? The answer of this is known as 'infinity'.Similarly (2/0) is infinity as well.Infinity is noway comparable to any other numbers as like a drop of water of or a bucket of water will not rise the sea level...!!!
Therefor (anything/0) = infinity

Now whats about (0/0) ? if (0/0) = m , then u have to add "0" 'm' times to get o, right ? Now think , how many times u have to add 0 to get 0 ? the answer can be 1 , can be 2 , can be 3 , and so on and so forth.Therefor (0/0) can have many answers.That is (0/0) is not infinity but indeterminate....!!!

How to connect GPRS connection on android to pc

To Enable Tethering on your Android phone:
1. Install the TetherBot application on your phone -
2. Install the Android SDK on your PC. Also install the device driver bundled with the SDK.
3. Now go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Development and enable USB Debugging on your phone.
4. Connect the phone to your PC; start the TetherBot application and press the Start Socks button.
5. On your PC, go to Command Prompt (Run > CMD) and navigate to the androidsdktools directory.
6. Type this command and execute it
adb forward tcp:1080 tcp:1080
This starts a SOCKS proxy on Port 1080 using which you can connect to the internet.
You can now use this proxy to access the internet using any browser which allows you to set up a SOCKS proxy like Opera or Firefox.
For example, in Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Connection > Settings > Manual Proxy Configuration >
Type: SOCKS
Host: localhost
Port: 1080

Indian channels for free on mobile

I have been planning to write this article for a long time now but couldn’t as i wasn’t able to find live streaming links for all the major Indian TV channels. But, i have decided to publish all the current working links for live streaming and update this article as and when i discover new links for other channels.

Anyways, at first the idea of live streaming Indian TV channels on mobile phone seemed a lame and useless as GPRS isn’t considered the best option for streaming videos. However, since 3G is still months away from official launch, i tried to gamble with it and found that streaming isn’t that bad at all! Channels that provide lo version ran quite nicely without any snag (tried on Airtel Mobile Office). Running android on windows

Android 2.2 Froyo released in Google I/O Conference in San Francisco last week. Android Phone users can download the latest version on their phone but if you are not having Android phone then you can try this platform on your computer. Android development site is having the downloadable version of Android 2.2 Froyo SDK. You can download that file and follow the below mentioned steps to run this latest mobile OS from Google on your computer.
How to Run Android 2.2 Froyo on Windows/Mac/Linux
Minimum Requirement to Run Android 2.2
Java Platform(JDK)
Powerful RAM at least 1GB
Min. 2GB Free Space of HD
Android Running on Computer

Follow below steps to get Android 2.2 platform on Computer
1. Download Android SDK
2. Extract the zipped folder and navigate to “Tools” folder inside the extracted folder
3. Open the script named “Android” from the “Tools” folder
4. If you are already having JDK installed on your computer, then you will see a new admin windows. If now having JDK on your computer, then go ahead and install that from here. After installation of JDK, go ahead and click “Android” script
5. Android script will start he SDK manager. Go ahead and navigate to “Available Packages” menu in the left sidebar options
6. There you will see only one link listed. Check that link and then it will start getting package information from repository. If you are getting a message that “Fetch failed because of https” then go to the Settings” option in left panel and check the box which says “Force to use http for https” and then Come back to “Available Packages” and click on that single item available in the list. That will fetch lot many packages from the repository
7. Now go ahead and check four items shown in the picture below. These items are nothing but the Android 2.2 Froyo OS files. After checking the files, go ahead and click on “Install Checked” at bottom of the window

8. Installation of files will take some time. After successful installation, go to “Virtual Devices” option in left panel and click on “New” in that window. Now you are going to add one device in SDK manager. Go ahead and fill up the new form with the same data as mentioned in the picture below, after that click on “Create AVD”.

9. Remember, Adding device may take some time and even may left your system hanged for few minutes. But you will have to have patience in that interval and don’t restart your computer. Once the device will be added in hat list as “A valid Android Virtual device”, you can click on the “Start” button after selecting the newly added device to start the Android Platform on your computer
10. Done! Now you can use the Android platform on your computer to feel the OS from Google. To use Android applications, you will have to get “Eclipse” on your system as well.
You can install Android 2.1 or older versions as well by selecting the packages for that in the step 7 of the steps mentioned above.

pen drive files become system files

Symptoms of the Problem:
You had all your data files in the pen drive but when now you connect it to the computer, you find that all the data have been missing from the drive but weird thing about is that when you right click on the drive to see the space utilization, you find that the drive is still showing the space used.
Cause of the problem:
The problem is because all the data that was present inside the pen drive now have the system file attributes that is the files have become system files by the virus. This is the reason why they are not visible even with the option “Show Hidden files and folders”.
Solution to the problem:
To remove the problem this is what you need to do.
1. Go to Folder Options -> View tab
2. Make sure that your Show Hidden files and folders option is enabled.
3. Uncheck the option that reads “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”
Now when you see your pen drive, you will find that your data is present there but in hidden form. There are 2 ways to unhide the data, either right click and uncheck the Hidden box or type in the following command in the command prompt
attrib filename –h –r –s
where filename is the complete location of the file.

4. If there is an entry on the left side that says Norun then click on it once to make it blue
5. Right click on it and choose delete or change the value (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)
6. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer and do the same thing
7. Restart your computer

how to enable task manager

Problem: It is due to some kind of virus/ trojan activity which normally disables the task manager.Now due to this problem when ever the user press alt+ctrl+del to launch windows task manager it gives an error saying “Task Manager is being disabled by your administrator”.


Solution:

To Enable the Disabled Task Manager on your system

1. Press window key+r to show run prompt

2. Follow the following steps

Enter gpedit.msc in the run prompt and click OK
In the Group Policy settings window
Select User Configuration
Select Administrative Templates
Select System
Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
Select Remove Task Manager
Double-click the Remove Task Manager option’.
Set the property of this item as disabled.

For Those who use Windows XP Home Edition can use the registry to enable Task Manager

1. open start >> run and type regedit


2. Navigate to the following path:

Hive:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. You will find a registry key with name DisableTaskMgr of type: REG_DWORD
4. Double click the key with and set the Value to 0

5. Exit the registry and restart to see the effect.

removing khatra virus

This virus has some symptoms when ever you try to open browser and search remove khatra.exe the browser will automatically close, you can’t not delete khatra.exe or gHost.exe or Xplorer.exe which are created by the same virus as these processes will keep running.

Fix:

Follow the procedure below

1. Open Task Manager but if task manager is blocked then unblock task manager and click the process tab, found these process named regsvr.exe(if found there), gHost.exe, khatra.exe and Xplorer.exe, right click on all these process and select end process tree

2. Open Start Menu >> Run, type cmd and click Ok button


3. Now download and install everything search tool

4. Run Everything and type the virus exe names one by one ( khatra.exe, gHost.exe, Xplorer.exe ) and delete all the copies found on your computer anywhere.

5. Now Open start menu >> run, type regedit or if registry editing is blocked then unblock registry editing

6. Press ctrl+f and find the registry keys with names khatra,gHost,Xplorer and delete the values you find with these names.
